Privacy Policy

This policy explains no developer collection or tracking and where your selected media is processed, stored, and deleted, based on the app’s implementation.

On-device processing

This Privacy Policy applies to the iOS app “1sec Movie” and the official website at 1sec-movie.kojodan.com. Information handled by third-party services such as Apple and YouTube is governed by their respective policies.

Information handled

To create a movie, the app accesses and processes information you select through Apple-provided photo or file pickers on your device. These are not data collected by the developer.

  • Photos, videos, optional audio files, and background music that you select
  • The selected media’s file name, type, video duration, capture or creation date, modification date, and an item identifier returned by the photo picker
  • An optional title you enter and editing or output settings such as order, duration, aspect ratio, color tone, and watermark
  • Audio and motion analysis results calculated on the device from a selected video
  • StoreKit purchase status used to determine whether Pro features are available

The app may record limited operational events in the device’s OS log, such as a process starting, completing, or failing, to help diagnose problems. It is not designed to intentionally log media content, file names, titles, paths, payment information, or StoreKit transaction IDs.

The app does not send or upload your selected media, edits, analysis results, file names, or operational logs to a developer-operated server, and the developer does not collect them.

Purpose of use

  • To edit selected photos and videos and generate a movie
  • To find highlight candidates in a longer video
  • To provide previews, saving to the photo library, and recovery of an unsaved output
  • To remember output settings for a later editing session
  • To process Pro purchases, restoration, and feature availability

On-device processing

Media analysis, editing, and movie generation using AVFoundation run on your iPhone. The app uses Apple's photo and file pickers and processes only the items you choose.

Photo Library permission

The app uses the system photo picker to select media. It requests add-only Photo Library permission only when you choose to save a completed movie.

You can change or revoke 1sec Movie’s Photos permission in iOS Settings. Depending on your iOS version, the setting appears under Apps or Privacy & Security. Revoking permission prevents future saves from the app, but does not delete movies already saved in your photo library.

Storage and deletion

  • Temporary files: Working copies of media, intermediate files, and movies being generated are stored in an app-managed temporary area. They are removed when you reset or leave the editor, and remaining session files are cleaned up on a later launch.
  • Latest output for recovery: To recover from an unexpected termination, the app may retain only the latest unsaved completed movie in the device’s Application Support area for up to 24 hours. This recovery file is excluded from device backups. It is deleted after saving to the photo library, resetting or leaving the editor, explicitly discarding it, or when the retention period expires.
  • Settings: Small values such as output preferences are stored locally in UserDefaults.

After you save a generated movie to your photo library, its retention and deletion follow your device settings and actions.

Synchronization

The app does not use a developer-operated server, CloudKit, or iCloud to synchronize source media or editing state. After you save a movie to your photo library, synchronization follows your iCloud Photos and device settings.

Ads, analytics, and tracking

The current app does not display ads and does not include advertising, third-party analytics, or tracking SDKs. Its App Privacy Manifest declares no tracking and no collected data types.

If this changes in the future, the implementation, store disclosures, and this policy will be updated before or when the change takes effect.

Purchases

Pro is offered as a one-time purchase through Apple's StoreKit. Current pricing and availability are shown in the App Store. Apple processes payments and manages payment information and purchase history under its terms and privacy policy.

The app checks StoreKit purchase entitlements to unlock and restore features. Apple processes payments, and the app does not access payment information such as credit card numbers.

Developer-held data and deletion

The developer does not hold copies of your selected media, edits, analysis results, recovery movie, or app operational logs as a result of using the app. Accordingly, there is no developer-side copy of those app data to delete on request.

You can delete on-device data by resetting or leaving the editor, discarding the recovery movie, or deleting saved movies in the Photos app. If you email us, we will handle the content of your message to respond to your inquiry.

YouTube samples

The official website is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Its static files contain no form, advertising, first-party analytics, or code that writes cookies. Information handled by the delivery platform and third-party services is governed by their respective policies.

The sample gallery does not contact YouTube when the page first opens. Only after you choose to play a sample does the site load a player from YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode domain. YouTube and Google policies then apply to that interaction.

This policy may be revised when features, third-party services, or legal requirements change. Material changes will be communicated clearly in the app or on the official website. The latest update date appears at the top of this page.
